Richard Bettinger

Richard Bettinger began his career in the financial industry in 1999 as a representative with Oppenheimer Mutual Funds. Following his time with Oppenheimer he pursued his passion to teach as a fourth grade teacher and then as a sixth grade teacher.
In 2007 Richard began using the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace program in his own personal finances and discovered that his prior experience in education and investing prepared him well to serve as an Smart Vestor Pro. He enjoys helping clients at different life stages plan and prepare for retirement and is often amazed by what can be accomplished when there is a plan in place.
Richard's faith and love for his wife and four children renew him daily. He enjoys coaching baseball and watching his kids grow and learn. His enjoyment of the outdoors dates back to his childhood years growing up in Alaska.
